There has been a broad public and political consensus in Georgia regarding its integration into the international economy through the opening up of the Georgian economy for international businesses and the creation of a favorable investment environment. Based on this consensus, since 1995 the Parliament of Georgia has been working on the development of a package of liberal business legislation.
